Mental Affected to Cancer Patient
Life will mean nothing if they are not able to share with their love. Conversely also, the presence of a lover will be very mean when he had to go through hard of life. Having sharing to people in the joy and sorrow perhaps can make the cancer patients who had been married more survive than they are not. The link between marriage and life expectancy of patients was examined by a team of researchers from Indiana University, USA, which analyzed data of 3.8 million people suffer from cancer between 1973 and 2004. Known, 63 percent of people who get married have survive 5 years longer than people who get divorced (45 percent). This is reported in the Cancer journal.
The researchers say, stress is arising from divorce effect on patient survival. Previously, several studies have stated amount on the health benefits of marriage. Support from spouse, love, and attention that grew from a married couple is a powerful weapon against disease. This theory is supported by recent research. Researchers try to see the life expectancy of cancer patients who get married, widowed, divorced people, and patients who are not married. Apparently, patients who get married have better a life expectancy, followed by an unmarried, divorced people and widows. However, some experts assess, the results of this study is not a conclusion. "There are many reasons why people who get divorced have a lower life expectancy," said Martin Ledwick, Chief Information Cancer Research, UK. He further said that the main factors that affect the life expectancy of cancer patients is from the cancer stage when detected. More early known, more greater chances of recovery.
